About Bequia
OVERVIEW OF BEQUIA
Bequia (bek-way), meaning “Island of clouds” in the indigenous Arawak language, is a tiny, unspoiled island accessible by sea and air in the Southern Caribbean. Measuring seven square miles and with a population of under six thousand, Bequia is the second largest island in the Grenadines chain between St Vincent and Grenada. With its relaxed island lifestyle, white-sand beaches, a large natural harbour, and forested hills, this unspoiled island has a unique, magical charm hard to find anywhere else in the Caribbean. Don't be surprised if you are greeted with a warm hello as you walk along the street.
Bequia is popular among cruising yachts, expats and tourists. One of the busiest times of the year is the annual Easter Regatta. Some of the things to do in Bequia are diving, hiking and sailing.
